Getting Started in 2016!

I've been playing the Swift Calls CD every morning & evening & almost all day Saturday & Sunday for one week now, but haven't seen any Swifts around here ... yet.

This Blog details my attempts to establish a colony of Swifts on the gable end of my home in the countryside of north Antrim.
I know it will not be plain sailing though, as my gable wall faces South, which is not ideal & also, there are in fact no Swifts living in this area.
However, they do breed in a town 5 miles away but, although a keen Birdwatcher, I rarely ever see any Swifts up here, but I do have House Martins & Swallows breeding nearby.
I just hope this story will have a happy ending .. fingers crossed.
